Two-Factor Authentication on ReciPal
What is Two-Factor Authentication
We've added two-factor authentication (2FA) as an option to provide an added layer of security for your ReciPal account. If you don't already know, 2FA is an electronic authentication method in which a user is granted access to their account only after successfully presenting two pieces of evidence to an authentication mechanism. It's one of the best ways to keep your accounts protected on ReciPal or any other site that gives you the option.
Setting up Two-Factor Authentication
It takes just seconds to enable 2FA on your ReciPal account. Once logged into your account, select "Settings" from your user drop down in the top right. From there, click, "Enable two-factor authentication".
Lastly, use your preferred authenticator app to scan the QR code. It will give you a 6 digit confirmation code. Once you enter that code, you're all set. Using an authenticator app is much more secure than something like a phone number, which is why it's the method we've chosen. If you don't already have an authenticator app on your phone, we like Authy or Google Authenticator.
